Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can the event center and/or roof terrace accommodate?
The event center has a maximum capacity of 150 people.

What all is included in a rental package?
Are base packages include use of venue, tables, chairs, linens, use of A/V equipment, staff for set-up/clean- up, one security personal, & insurance. Additional accommodations include spacious bridal and grooms suites, and a beautiful koi pond for pictures..

What kind of deposit is required?
A $500 deposit plus 50% of the agreed upon rental fee is due at signing of the Rental Agreement.

Are there extra fees for set-up & clean-up?
No. As part of the Rental Agreement Package, The Capitol View Event Center provides staff to help with set-up of the venue prior to the event, and clean-up after. We do ask that any decorations that are brought into facility by the client, and removed by the client. We’ll take care of the rest!

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. After a deposit has been made, we require a monthly payment to be made on your account until the balance is paid in full. All balances are required paid in full 30 days prior to your event. These details are discussed and future payments are scheduled at the time of booking.

Do you offer catering packages?
Yes. We have our own in-house catering kitchen, and can provide full service meals for event.

How long will I have use of the event space and are there fees for going past our time?
A total of eight (8) maximum hours are allowed for standard events. This includes set-up, and clean-up time along with one (1) hour for rehearsal the day before a wedding event. Any time needed beyond the allowed amount is to be coordinated with the event center staff, and may be subject to additional fees.

Do you supply special event liability insurance?
Yes. The Capitol View Event Center carries a general liability policy for special events. As part of the required rental agreement, the Renter will be added onto the policy as an additional insured at no extra charge. Any outside venders require their own general liability insurance however.

Is alcohol allowed on-site?
Yes, alcohol is allowed under certain previsions outlined in the rental agreement. Only beer, wine, and Champaign are allowed, and must by a licensed and insured bar tender. No alcoholic beverages may be brought into or taken out of the event by guests or participants.

Are ceremonies allowed around the koi pond area?
Yes. The on-site koi pond with water fall makes a beautiful setting for pictures and small ceremonies.

What is your cancellation policy?
There are provisions in place to either rebook your event or refund a portion of your total amount paid to date. The amount available to be refunded is dependent upon how much cancellation notice is given prior to your event date. This is greatly detailed within our Rental Agreement.
